What Investing a Day Looks Like After 2 Years

In January 2022 I made a decision to start investing a day into the stock market and into crypto to see if you could grow a portfolio with only investing daily. After 2 years of consistently investing, today I bring you my results as of January 2024!

✨ The Challenge: In January 2022, I embarked on a unique financial adventure – investing just every day. This experiment aimed to demonstrate the power of small, consistent investments over time.

???? The Inspiration: The idea struck me as I sipped my daily Starbucks. What if, instead of spending on coffee, I invested that amount daily? This thought was the seed for my daily investment challenge.

???? The Approach: I diversified my approach – half into the U.S. stock market and half into cryptocurrency, particularly Ethereum, to explore different investment avenues.

???? Stock Market Strategy: I chose VOO, an ETF representing the S&P 500, allowing a diversified portfolio in top U.S. companies without the risk of single-stock investments.

???? Crypto Choice: Ethereum was my crypto pick, a deviation from the popular Bitcoin, to add variety to my portfolio.

???? Calculating Investments: Addressing the non-trading days, I adjusted my investment strategy to ensure a consistent daily investment equivalent throughout the year.

???? Platforms Used: I started with Robinhood but also recommend WeBull for its high interest on uninvested cash, enhancing the investment strategy.
???? Webull App – get FREE stocks when you get started – My Choice at 5% APY (limited time) ► http://sweetlifesuccess.com/go/webull

???? Results and Reflections: I share detailed results of my investments, including the number of shares accumulated, market value, average cost, and total returns in both stock and crypto investments.

???? Personal Thoughts: Reflecting on the lack of financial education in schools, I emphasize the importance and impact of starting to invest early.

???? Join the Challenge!: I invite you to start your own daily investment journey and share your progress for mutual learning and encouragement.

???? Subscribe for More: Stay tuned for continuous updates on this journey and more insights into smart investing.

  1. I watched your other video $5 a day vs. monthly investment. Currently doing monthly and quarterly. Now, will do the $5 a day challenge for all my investments and let it ride the 25 years I have until I retire!

  2. Hey Bob, I was wondering if you would still invest $5 into cryptocurrencies if there was a fee of $0,99 or would you only invest into the s&p500? I really like the honesty and openness in your videos!
    Thank you! 🙂

  3. With Robinhood Gold ($5 a month) you get the 5% on uninvested cash as well! I know its an additional expense, but just wanted to let you know!!

  4. I do believe you are my new Stock Guy! I’m going to try my best to get my $5 a day going. Wish me luck ????

  5. i'm using Revolut (i'm in Europe, so i don't have a lot of options), and i've got ONE commissions free "action" per month, so, i have an automatic 5€ a day transfer to a piggybank in my Rev account, and monthly i withdraw everything from there and found the stock portfolio

  6. 150 a month wouldve sounded more real and make this video obsolete… What youre talking about is not how humans work.. Then tell them that their 4K made them 400 in 2 years it would never make sense… Easier to spend that money on tools for work that produces 4k IN ONE MONTH..

  7. about to start today and document it as well just got my robinhood set up and then i got to the point where you recomended webull instead- so im waiting on my webull application

  8. Very interesting video. What would happen if you skip a day do you have the choice to do that? Do you automatically do bank transfers? What is uninvested cash?

  9. Thank you so much I saw your video last year and invested in an index fund and ended up 25% up for the year and was able to save a good chunk of cash

  10. Saving $5/day instead of a cup of coffee is great! It helps you save… uhm about a cup of coffee a day.

  11. When I have the throw away money, I'm going to do this with the Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Russell 2000, and the total stock market and compare them after a year. Just a $1 each on every trading day is the plan. While still focusing on my current strategy

  12. usually i dont invest this often meaning everyday. Usually i will just drop like 20k in one shot and redo it the next year.

  13. Compounding truly is the 8th wonder of the world. The yearly return on $VOO since january 2018 is 13%. With 5 Dollars a day and daily compounding that would be approx $16.9k. Take the same historical yearly return and give it another 6 years and your investment is now close to 54k! A small sacrifice of $5 a day can spiral into quite a decent chunk of money!
