I just bought more gold and silver few minutes ago. Tying up money due to an apocalyptic stock market crash is also not a smart move. Life is a risk and it's better to take risks than to do nothing, you can't always expect to make huge profits all the time, people have so many opinions about a recession/depression. The prices of gold and silver sure don’t indicate a panic or even that much of a demand. If it were a panic I think you’d see prices rising consistently.

In Germany, when you want to visit a gold dealer you need to book an appointment at least one or two days in advance, you go to the appointment, after spending sometime in the waiting room, you're taken by an employee to his/her office, there's no gold/silver there, you tell him what you want to buy, he asks you for your ID, he checks your id & register your information on his computer, then he prints you a receipt, asks you for the cash, he takes the cash into the storage room and comes back after few minutes with the coins you ordered…. The experience in the USA seems more enjoyable & natural
