  1. Imagine being one of the most important men in the world and having to sit down and talk to Ina Fried of all people. :/

  2. So basically Open A.I is turning up the temperature slowly so the goldfish doesn't notice its boiling

  3. Memory about the lives of millions, if not billions of Humans only increases the damage a rogue AI can do. AI poses serious security and even existential risks, experts have expressed their concerns, I as a programmer with a history in AI share that concern and believe we should slow down and reevaluate what we are doing, before we introduce a this planet to a legion of alien lifeforms with superior intelligence compared to ours that are connected to everything and everyone, know everything about everything and everyone, that due to some random code alteration, hack by a malicious party or out of own intent decides that we are the problem that needs to be stopped from proliferation… #StayAwake

  4. I hope it has much more memory because it can't quite run a dungeon and dragons campaign. It constantly has to be reminded about rules and past events….details

  5. I'm curious about other nations gpt equivalents such as russias gigachat, most info has an obvious bias because russia. Could you do an honest deep dive on other nations ai capabilities?

  6. i hope to see new feature where i can summrize a video file to more brief video file , like to watch a 2 hours movie by 10 minutes, i know you already did that , just spell it out

  7. They seriously need to add memory to Bing AI. He literally can't remember what we just talked about the message before half the time.

  8. I more interested in it's memory limitations for coding. For example, can I feed it an entire codebase project and will it accurately provide responses accurately based on it's memory of entire projects consistently?

  9. memory augmentation is fine, but it's nothing new – and still doesn't enable it to work well on anything that requires high level understanding of large volumes of text, including code interpretation… I really hope they're doing real research trying to break the context limit, because that's the only way to work on volumes of text, e.g. an entire book, a large technical specification, or a large codebase. RAG only applies to certain problems.

  10. OpenAi's "stealth releases" are one of the most annoying, unwerlcomed things in all of tech. Let us know what damn product we're using. When it rolls over, this ain't some free ride we are paying for this crappy experience

  11. I really hope they make this optional. As an author I think this is absolutely terrible. I don't want it confusing my characters wants and interests with my own, and I don't want it remembering ideas that I've completely discarded.
