I have worked with ChatGPT on a number of projects. ChatGPT is simultaneously the sidekick who is way more capable than the hero, and the bumbling sidekick.
Why is the filed called "Snake Snake Snake" when the guy only says "Snake" twice?
Let me give you some of my own personal examples of what it's like to code with ChatGPT:
"ChatGPT, fix this problem."
"Ok, understood. I will leave that problem alone and instead break something that was working perfectly."
"ChatGPT, the code isn't working."
"Change all instances of Thing A to Thing B."
"Ok, that didn't help."
"Change all cases of Thing B to Thing A."
"ChatGPT, write some code that does this thing."
"Here is the code."
"It isn't working."
"Check the code for errors you may have made."
"YOU wrote the code! If it has errors, that's your fault!"
"Check to see if there are any errors."
"I can't! I don't know what the code is supposed to look like! I don't know what the errors look like!"
"It would help if you would show me the code."
"But you wrote it!"
"Show me the code, and I will try to find out what's wrong."
"Fine. Here's the code."
"Ok. In order to make this code work, you should check it for errors."
"YOU'RE the coding genius! YOU check it for errors!"
"It would help if I could see the whole code."
"I JUST GAVE YOU THE CODE!"
"Give me the code again."
"Fine! Here's the damn code."
"Check the code for errors."

i'm making a chess game, figured i ask chat GPT….
chat GPT, could not fix my castling issues, every code chat GPT gave me was faulty.
in the end i had to read the chess_documentation…to fix the issue.
just had to add a single line that said castling is allowed…chat GPT was too dumb for this.
it did help with some other stuff though, setting up allowed moves, player moves stuff like that.
but chat GPT does not know everything, knowledge, experience, and being able to program yourself are necessary.
cause you need to check the code for faulty code….or search for stuff that chat GPT just does not know.
the old way is often better, search google, and read official documentations.
i had something similar when learning python, followed youtube tutorials.
but one day i opened a python-book,and on the first page,i learned 3 things.
i use everyday up to this day, that no online tutorial ever teaches to me.
string.strip() and string.split() are 2 of them.
when text files come in to play, your going to need them.
read books and documentations…it will help alot!
(some documents like secret, or privately owned ones, or copyright protected ones, are not in chat gpt's data)

Google Gemini is superior to ChatGPT in every way regarding programming. Not only does it code Python far better, but it will also understand what you're getting at far better and focuses more on generating accurate code than it does trying to bend to the user's will.
Minecraft XP is satisfying. They voted for it for that not to annoy you.
